The Work Of Coming Home To Yourself

Coming Home To Yourself

Learning to love without leaving yourself behind

Dear Reader,

There is a particular kind of courage in becoming more fully yourself.

Not the polished version.
Not the version who knows all the right answers.
The real one.

The one with needs.
Desires.
Limits.
Longings.
Edges.

And then comes the deeper invitation:

Can you bring that self into your high-stakes relationships?

This is at the heart of my work.

Individuals: we turn toward you.

We listen for the places where you've learned to override yourself, make yourself smaller, keep the peace, or carry more than was ever yours to carry.

We get curious about the patterns beneath the patterns.

And we practice something different:

More honesty.
More choice.
More capacity to stay connected to yourself—even when someone else is disappointed, activated, or hurting.

We practice the capacity to hold both softness and edge.

Not building bigger walls.

Building a stronger relationship with yourself.

Couples: we turn toward the relationship.

Not to decide who is right.

Not to make conflict disappear.

But to understand the living system you've created together—and the patterns that take hold when the two of you are hurting, afraid, or reaching for each other.

We trace the roots.
We slow things down.
We practice something new.

So relationship can become less about managing, rescuing, pursuing, or disappearing—and more about two people learning how to truly meet each other.

Where both people matter.
Where truth can live alongside tenderness.
Where love doesn't require self-abandonment.

Because intimacy requires emotional musculature and those muscles need to be flexed often.

Whether you're coming to me on your own or as a couple, the invitation is remarkably similar:

Come closer to what is true.

Come closer to yourself.

Come closer to each other.

And learn the sacred art of staying connected—to yourself and the person you love.

Warmly,
Fereshta

Do Something That Scares You Braving Something That Matters To You = Doing It Scared Dear Reader, Lately, I've been moving between faith and fear as I brave what feels like a lot of risk in my body. I've been writing new songs, recording them in the studio, and now - on Monday (eeeek!) - I am making a music video for the first time. Holy shift, that feels like a whole new level of visibility, and gulp - vulnerability. Writing songs at home, practicing with my vocal coach, jamming with the...

Decisions Are Portals How Fear Robs Us Of Our Power Dear Reader, I've been thinking about the power of decisions in my own life and how this translates to my work I do with amazing humans like you. Recently, I made a set of powerful decisions and the journey I have been on has been staggeringly beautiful and power unleashing. Some of you know I'm a songwriter as well as a coach. I left the music industry nearly 15 years ago - in full nervous breakdown burnout from the external pressure and...

The Wounds We Bring to Love How the past lives inside our present relationships. Dear Reader, What we call relationship problems are often nervous system events. A racing heart.A tightening chest.A sudden collapse into silence or urgency. And underneath it all — a much older story still trying to complete itself. Many of us long for a love where we do not disappear to stay connected, and do not harden to stay safe. But most of us were not taught secure love.We were taught survival. So we...
